Lost Deer playing cards are inspired by a dream had by designer, Ericksson. After hitting rock bottom and approaching breaking point, Ericksson, dreamt he was lost in a forest. Consumed by fog, he couldn't find his bearings and desperately wanted to give up and escape from what had quickly turned into a nightmare. Suddenly an elk appeared in front of his eyes, its high antlers led him to safety and Ericksson awoke overwhelmed with creative inspiration.
In both Eastern and Western cultures, the elk is a symbol of divinity, strength and stamina - this deck of cards encourages us to break free from the cage of life and adopt positive, optimistic attitudes, to chase self improvement and look forward to a better tomorrow.
Lost Deer: Purple Edition excels during card flourishes, with a back design containing full bleed elements formed from a vortex of distorted antlers. Face and spot cards are completely custom and feature low-poly illustrations overlaid upon a stunning purple nebula, a perfection combination of fantasy and modern design elements.
