A staple in every cardman's collection, Vintage Plaid Playing Cards have increased in popularity exponentially since their sell-out release years ago. Produced by Art of Play's Dan and Dave Buck, they had this to say about the inspiration behind the design;
"For us, these cards bring back fond memories of childhood camping trips with our grandfather. Watching him pitch a tent, reel in a fish, and bring fire ablaze under a starry night were magical moments we never forgot. In honor of those days by the river and nights under the stars, we are proud to offer these (new) playing cards."
Available in Arizona Red and California Blue, each colour-way features an embossed tuck box complete with gold-lettering. The back design of each deck is printed throughout the inside of the tuck and to top it off, each version of Vintage Plaid comes with their own unique Ace of Spades and Jokers!
Printed by the United States Playing Card Company on Dan and Dave's trademark stock for a thin feel and excellent handling.
Twins brothers Dan and Dave Buck are perhaps best known for their contributions to the art of cardistry.
Masters of sleight of hand, the Buck twins have released a plethora of instructional videos and DVDs which not only led to the increase in popularity of cardistry, but also made them two of the most influential people in the magic and cardistry community.
In 2013, off the back of a becoming wildly successful producers of luxury playing cards, they founded Art of Play. Based in the United States, Art of Play curates a collection of wonderfully unique playing cards, puzzles, games and amusements.
