Marking the end of the series, we are proud to introduce Draconian: Wight to our collection, designed by Randy Butterfield.
Printed on a premium matte-white, soft-touch paper, the tuck case features blue foil, Pantone black and grey ink with a clear UV Spot Ink overlay on the black elements, plus dragon scales (these look even better in person than in images!)
The back design features a borderless optical illusion formed from dragon scales and is guaranteed to instantly transform your fans and spreads!
Face cards include "random" blue fissures over a subtle off-white full-bleed background. These cracks can be found throughout the deck and are incorporated into the design of the pips, court cards and even the Ace of Spades! Despite this extra detail however, the foundations of the design remain (semi) standard, making them just as good for gameplay as they are for cardistry.
Printed by Legends Playing Card Co. using their Classic Finish and inspired by one of Butterfield's favourite series of books and shows, Game of Thrones!
Established in 2013, Legends Playing Card Company was born out of a frustration from the subpar quality of 'premium' playing card brands. The founder of Legends, Lawrence Sullivan, says his goal is to print the absolute best playing cards, rather than the cheapest. Sullivan has an understanding of every factor that can affect playing card printing from humidity to equipment settings and much more; made possible only by immersing himself in the history of playing cards and studying their manufacturing processes.
Legends Playing Card Company's first deck, Legends #852 sold out its introductory print run in a matter of days. In fact, the deck was so sought after by collectors, magicians and poker players for its unique finish and precision cut edges, that the second edition of Legends #852 sold out in under two hours. It seems word spreads quickly!
